Description

Marking gauge. Comprises a hickory mandrel set into a cherry disk 6 7/8" diameter and 9/16" thick. Where the mandrel is flush with the cherry disk, it has an iron point in its center. Near the perimeter of the cherry desk, a lost, 1/2" w, is cut into which a U-shaped piece of brass is inserted. Inside this, a 1/2" section of brass tubing is squeezed into an oval and friction fit into the brass lined lot.
