Description

Sledge. Flat cargo bed with convex front and concave back. Bed is secured to frame with three stanchions per side. Frame reinforced by iron braces. Runners are flat and curve upward toward front and lined with iron. Iron rod connects runners at front corner; rope tied around these joints. Wood parts are painted a red-orange.

Notes

According to the original acquisition information, this was used to carry wood to the buildings of the North Family, Mount Lebanon Shakers.
