Description
School desk (.1) and chair (.2). Desk has a slightly slanted top with a pencil trough along the top edge. Below trough is a through-hole on the right side. Frame of desk is rectangular and is not as deep at the desk top. Sides of frame are cut in a curve so the top edge reaches the end of the desk top. Frame is clear-coated and top is stained brown. Underneath the frame is a set of desk legs, which run the depth of the desk. Iron legs are vine-like, curve, and join at two different points. Chair has a steam-bent slat, two posts which sit at an angle, and a central decorative back support. Seat has rounded edges and is recessed for comfort. Attached to underside is a hollow iron post with remnants of black paint and has an integral stand with four screw holes to secure chair to floor. Chair is varnished.
