Shoe last. Solid sycamore block of wood cut in the form of a shoe. Toe is rounded. Convex heel curve, flat top, and 1/4" last hook hole just below the top. Hook last hole is filled with a plaster-like substance on one side. Bottom has nail holes concentrated along the edges, across the joint, and down the center of the last at toe, waist, and heel.
