Shoe float. Float has a prism shaped head with horizontal ridges on the two rectangular faces. Shaft of float has a rectangular cross-section with beveled edges. Shaft is set into a turned wood handle. 1/2" below joint is an iron ferrule, which has a leather strip secured underneath. Handle has a circular cross-section and tapers to an acorn-shaped end.
