Backrest

Description

Backrest. Backrest is steam-bent with a slight convex curve on top and bottom edges; tapers from 36 11/16" at top to 33 5/8" at bottom. On back there are steam-bent support bars across top and bottom widths. There is a third bar two-thirds of the height which sits atop a notched beam, cut so hinged arm rests securely. Arm is hinged to a flat board with a rounded end. Strip of leather attached underneath the bottom steam-bent support. Painted/washed orange.
