Measure with pine bottom, steam-bent red oak side band and rim, and two iron or steel bands that cross bottom at 90 degrees to each other and bend up sides nearly to underside of rim. Side band and rim ends are feathered, overlapped, and secured with iron tacks. Bottom held by iron nails, rim by iron tacks. Bands nailed on as well.
