Description
A wooden clock face with a decorative painting on its face. The main portion of the clock face is square with a half-circle set atop it. The face is painted white overall, though discolored with time. The half-circle edge is emphsized by a repeating flourish. At the center of the half-circle there is a painted scene of a seventeenth-century couple; she in a long red empire waist dress and he in gray breeches and a brown coat. The couple is enclosed by a wavy red frame. On either side of the scene are two conical red flowers with stems and leaves. The square portion of the clock face has painted corners, of blue triangles bordered with orange, which curve around the clock dial. The clock face tracks hours marked by Roman numerals I-XII. The Roman numerals are gray set in a blue band. There are two cross bars on the back dado jointed with broken metal wire at the end.
