Description

Wooden straw press. Press has a rectangular platform with two arms, mortise-jointed near one end, that sit at a slight angle over the platform. Each arm is one piece of wood but split from the middle. Tenoned between the top of arms are two wooden cylindrical rollers. Rollers are propelled by a single crank attached to tenon of interior roller. Crank has a turned wood handle with a mortise and tenon-jointed turned wood handle. Below rollers is a crossbar nailed to arms. Above rollers are two iron butterfly screws.
