A brass chuck adapter that adapts to a chuck for tapered round tangs to tapered square tangs. A flat steel spring set into the brass and riveted in place at the small diameter end of the adapter. A small alignment arrow is incised into the brass on the edge of the large diamtere end in line with the steel spring.
