Description

Butter worker. Worker (a) has a triangular construction with its wide end open. Top edges on open end are rounded. Sides are made of tiger maple while front is pine and is also the front leg. Screwed to the outside of the opposite end are the two other legs of tiger maple. Legs are tapered, slightly splayed, and reinforced by two angled crossbars. Under the trough there is a metal hook. In the trough is an oak pounder/churn (b) which moves side to side and is secured to a cross bar at the bottom of the trough with two short dowels.
