Pine bucket with lid painted yellow and inscribed "38," Church Family, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Coopered pine bucket with iron or steel hoops, wire bail, maple (?) handle, and steel screws. Lid consists of a disk of pine encircled by an iron or steel hoop with riveted ends secured to disk with copper tacks. Wood parts painted yellow or mustard on outside and inside of lid. Inside of bucket was heavily waxed (only remnants now remain). Hoops were painted black.
