Description

Heather blue square neckerchief of linen and silk. 1/8" folded over hem. On two side, 1 3/4" from edge: 1/4" navy blue stripe; three fine navy blue lines; 1/4" navy blue stripe. One other two sides 1 7/8" from edge: 1/4" light blue stripe; three fine light blue lines; 1/4" light blue stripe.

Notes

The initials "EN" indicate that the neckerchief was probably owned by Sister Emma Neale. This piece was donated by Shaker Museum founder John S. Williams, Sr., who was a friend of Sister Emma's and acquired much of the museum's extensive holdings of objects from Mount Lebanon from her.
