Description
A steel fabric punch with a circular cutting edge 3/4" in diameter. The cutting edge has a short lip at the end where an L-shaped arm is connected, the other end of which is joined with the handle. The joint is reinforced by a brass ferrule 5/16" h with three incised lines at center. The wooden handle is turned into a tear-drop shaped with three scribe lines and a bulbous end. The tang of the blade protrudes from the butt of the handle and is folded over securing the blade in place.

The tool is believed to have been used for the production of fancy goods, but its specific use is unknown.
