Screw box turned and carved to shape of a fine-grained diffuse-porous hardwood, possibly birch, with a steel bruzz held in place by a hickory wedge. Box is octagonal with 1 3/16" diameter handles at either end. One handle cut short and end grain shaped to for two concentric circles proud of rest of end surface.
