A screw lead, Scotch pattern T-handled twist auger of commercial manufacture. The auger is 1 7/8" diameter with a 9" body supported by a 17/32" round shaft terminating at a 5/8" square tang mortised into a turned ash handle. The square tang is forged to form a 5/16" bolt which is threaded to accept a square iron nut and washer.
