Description
Grain shovel carved from a simple block of black walnut. Bottom edge sheathed in iron forged to a "v"-shape with the open end of the "v" slipped over the shovel edge and then riveted through the wood. The edges of the sides above the metal sheath at bottom are also wrapped with iron sheet metal tacked to either side of the edges to protect them. The sheet metal wrapping on proper right edge has pulled loose on outside of edge. The handle shaft terminates in a d-handle.
