Description
Riving stool with a chunk of burly crotch-figure white pine (Pinus strobus) hewn to about 16" diameter. Approximately 3" of vertical surface was left and the remainder of the block was hewn to form a conical frustum. Three turned ash (Fraxinus americana) legs, 1 3/4" diameter, inserted into the conical section to make a stool.
