Description

Disassembled bed comprising a headboard (a), foot board (b), two side rails (c,d) and four casters (e-h). The bed posts have a rectangular shaft with chamfer edges, no finial, and rounded tapered legs with a circular cross section; each post has two bolt holes and covers on the outside faces (except for one post on the foot board) and a rectangular cut out in line with the bottom slat on the inside face. The inside of bottom slats are notched across their width; nailed into the notch are rectangular pieces of wood set 1 1/4" apart. The headboard's upper slat extends above the bedposts and its top corners are cut into concave curves. The upper slat of the foot board is slightly thinner than the bottom slat. All slats are mortise and tenon jointed to the bedposts. The sides rails are notched in on the ends with a metal rod sticking out with a rim to keep it in place when the side rail is joined with the bedpost. The casters are cast iron with a round opening to accept the bed's legs. The casters have light-colored wooden wheels with a steel pin through-center to join the wheel and caster together.
