Large trough of white pine (Pinus strobus) with splayed sides and ends, and corners joined with dovetails. Bottom butted and nailed to bottom edges of sides and ends. A cast iron plate with recessed handle is set into each end. Outside of trough painted red. Insides of corners caulked.
