Description

A thin sheet metal stencil with clipped corners. The frame is mortise and tenon jointed. The frame is mortise and tenon jointed. The frame has four beveled-edged crossbars which divide the text into five sections, to allow for different paint colors. The stencil reads: SHAKER / HAMAMELIS / FOR INFLAMMATIONS / OF ALL KINDS / EAST CANTERBURY, N. H. The majority of the text exhibits white paint around the letters, while the "N.H." is green.
