A thin sheet metal stencil with clipped corners. Along the top and bottom edges is a thin piece of wood 9 5/16" x 7/16". The stencil reads: W / NEW YORK. The "W" is enclosed in a diamond cut-out. The side of the stencil where the text is legible is covered in black paint. The back has a yellow patina.
