Description

Some sort of clamp consisting of two pieces of white pine (1 5/16" and 1 1/16" x 2 3/16 x 23) with ends cut out to accept rectangular-shaped objects. A beech post is mortised through the bottom white pine bar (1 5/16") and pinned. the other (1 1/16") bar is mortised to slide over the post. To either side of the post, beech wear plates are tacked to the upper bar. A turned and sawed handle is pinned to the post with a black locust axel; off center so as to act as a cam when rotated. Two cherry dowels are fixed to the underside of the lower bar for an unknown reason. Entire apparatus originally painted salmon.
