Description

An iron peeling brake consisting of an iron fork, the base of which terminates in a screw which would have allowed fastening brake to a beam. The fork has one movable jaw and a tensioner, a metal strip that forces the movable jaw against the fixed jaw when the thumbscrew is tightened.

Notes

Used for peeling bark from withes for basket-making.
