Description

Pine dustpan. The dustpan has a wide mouth which tapers toward the back. Along the sides are pieces of wood nailed to the base. These side pieces are bent in back to fit the curve of the base. There is a third piece of wood nailed to the base in the back, which joins the two sides. The back side is bent into a wave with the center wave conforming to the position of the handle's shaft. The side panels are sandwiched by another piece of wood, cut to the shape of the base. Out of this piece the handle shaft extends upwards. The shaft is tapered, but grows at the top to form a bulbous end. At the top of the handle is a small metal ring.
