Description
Bookbinding press. Press has four splayed feet, which support an oblong base with convex ends that are not as wide as the majority of the base. In the convex ends are turned uprights with an iron rod set just inside the upright. Capping the uprights and rods is a smaller version of the base with chambered edges. Two raised squares on top which correspond to the location of iron rods. Surrounding metal rods is a press board. Atop the middle of the press board is a cast iron bracket with the screw at center. Screw goes straight up through the top and has a cylindrical knob with a turned wood handle through it. Stained dark brown.
