Iron, Tailor's
Tailor's goose, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Solid cast iron tailor's goose iron. The iron has a short backside and two long sides. The front comprises two short sides angled inward, which join to form an edge. The top has a cove edge. On top there are two raised squares, one each at the front and back, to house the arms of the handle. The handle arms are square in cross-section and continue straight up for about an inch before curving outward and back inward. The center of the handle is twisted to form a handle grip.
