Description
Double cupboard over double case of half-width drawers of pine with face-turned cherry and/or walnut knobs and brass butt hinges. Doors and ends are frame and panel (flat) and insides of frame are stopped round-overs (both inside and out on doors), scribed and coped at corners. Drawer fronts are lipped with same 3/8" radius round-over and stop. Drawer sides dovetailed to front; backs nailed on. Bottoms slide into 3/8" wide dadoes at bottom of sides and fronts. Stiles at either side of it and between doors are lipped (except for sides abutting doors) and arrises have stopped round-overs which are proud of the carcase. Drawer rails are secured to ends with sliding dovetails. Exterior and insides of doors painted red; inside of cupboards washed yellow. All drawers labelled on outside end; some bottoms have numbers on undersides as well.
