Trivet, Ironing
Iron trivet, Church Family, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
An ironing trivet is set into a wooden base. The base is rectangular with its corners cut off. The top of the base is recessed in three places to receive the trivet's feet so that the trivet sits approximately 1" above the base. The trivet is attached to the wooden base by a central screw. The trivet is cast and has a relatively ornate design comprising lattice work framed by s- and c-curves and a handle topped with vegetal decoration.
