Description

Oval, light-stained wood sewing box (a) with lid (b) and handle. Box is secured with copper tacks, handle secured with copper rivets. Lined in blue satin. Steam-bent bands and handle of maple, top header of cherry, bottom of white pine. Sewing box contains one blue satin pincushion (c), one gray satin pincushion with assorted pins (d), one blue satin "Strawberry" (e), one piece of wax (g), one willow needle holder with blue satin ribbon (h), and eight assorted buttons on a thread (f).
