Flatiron

Description

A flat iron with a cast iron base, soapstone top and an iron handle. The iron has a triangular for with rounded sides. The base has a short lip which secures the soapstone in place. The top edge of the soapstone is beveled. At the center of the soapstone the handle is attached. The base of the handle is diamond shaped with a waterfall edge with a bolt at the center to secure the three pieces together. The handle arms are curved and have a seam down the middle. The handle grip is convex and has a circular cross-section.
