Description

Three strand braids in various colors sewn together in an oval-shaped rug. Tri-colored braids; center oval: navy/blue/brown twelve rows; light gray/blue/brown two rows; two different browns/blue three rows; repeat two rows of light gray/blue/brown; black/brown/blue three rows; two browns/black three rows; two rows of black at edge.

Notes

Attributed by the donor as having been made by Sister Elizabeth Belden at Mount Lebanon, NY. However, there is no indication that Sister Elizabeth ever lived at Mount Lebanon.
