Object ID:
1959.11259.1
Community:
Massachusetts, Hancock
Description

The iron is triangular with soft, rounded, sides and waterfall edges, with the smallest on top. On the back edge of the iron there is a hole 5/16" in diameter. There are two raised rectangular sections on either end of the top, in which either end of the handle is set. The arms of the handle extend straight from the top of the iron, bend outward, then curve slightly inward toward the main portion of the handle. The handle is formed from the cast iron being bent down and folded into place, creating a seam underneath and a hollow interior.
