Semi-spherical base of tin-plated sheet metal to which a bottom is crimped. This base serves as the reservoir for the burner fuel for vaporizer 1959.11168.1. An aspirated funnel-shaped guard surrounds the wick holder. This guard screws into the top of the fuel reservoir. A wire bail is fitted to the top of the guard assembly.
