Mold, Basket Weaving
Basket form, Church Family, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Between-centers turned, face-grain orientation, white pine basket mold. The top of the mold is carved to a square and the surface of the square is relieved. The mold is scribed 1" and 1 1/2" from the top. The mold bottom has a cove turned into it just inside the circumference, and a 11/16" hole drilled blind into its center. The corners on the square top are plugged where pin holes had macerated the wood.
