Bonnet of black silk over cardboard form, Church Family, Mount Lebanon, NY
Description
Cardboard form covered with black silk. Flounce begins 1" from rim edge, is iridescent navy blue silk, and is 5" at its longest point. Interior is lined with navy blue sateen with navy blue threading in the shape of diamonds to simulate a quilted look. Navy blue silk ribbon ties 1 5/8" wide and 16 3/4" attached under front edge of flounce. Flounce's reverse side is same material as lining. Bonnet is not reversible.
