Description
Oval box form. Solid white pine block cut to elliptical shape, then cut in half cross-wise. A 1/8" thick iron plate is screwed to each cut end in which holes have been drilled in each of the eight corners. Four nuts and bolts are installed in these holes adjusted to allow about 1/8" movement of the two halves. Brass bushings have been installed vertically through the form halves which fit onto the two iron cylinders of vise 1961.12886.1. Two brass plates are set into the side of the form, one on each half, which serves as an anvil for clinch tacking the swallow tails.
