Description

Machined steel device with a tapered cylinder at one end that appears to correspond to the tapers on some other of the lathe centers. At the large end of the taper, a hollow cone is machined, the small end of this cone being a continuation of the taper. The interior cone included angle is a bit larger than that of the outside so the wall thickness decreases toward the open end. The tapered hollow terminates at a 1/4" diameter hole in the bottom. Saw kerfs have been cut in the open end almost diametrical to each other.
