Description

Maple veener swallow tail template with three tails secured to a white pine back with a white pine fence nailed to back. No tack locations indicated.

Notes

Used to lay out swallow tail shapes on 7" oval box bands. Although not initialed, handwriting matches that on 1961.12862.1, which is initialed and construction of template is similar. There are two additional templates used by Perkins in the museum's collection that were acquired from Canterbury, NH, in addition to this one. Pleasant Hill, KY also has two Perkins templates in their collections.
