Rectangular cast steel blade (1/8" x 8 7/8" x 17 7/8") with a forged steel reinforcing bar riveted to its top (max. thickness 7/16"). The ends of this bar are transitional to tangs, one straight, the other cocked upwards. Turned maple handles are impaled on these tangs and the ends of the tangs are peened over to hold the handles in place.
