Description

Porcelain pitcher with blue-green transfer printed floral designs. The pitcher has an organically shaped base, around which there is a blue-green leaf border. Above this border there is a molded scallop decoration. The diameter of the pitcher grows from this point to its widest width. The shape here is wavy and is encircled by four floral sprays with a thin line of gold leaf and a molded floral and stippled decoration above it. The diameter decreases drastically then expands to the mouth of the pitcher, former the neck. On the sides of the neck there is a blue-green floral spray on either side. There is a third floral spray on the inside of the spout. The handle is auricular in shape and is attached at the neck and just below the widest width. The sides and spine of the handle are accented in gold leaf.
