Wood block cut in the form of a left shoe with a removable instep wedge, but the wedge is not present. The last has a square toe. Attached to the joint there is a piece of leather. After the toe cap the wedge is cut at an obtuse angle and is 3/8" deep. The last slopes upward then plateaus at the top. Off-center on the top is a tube hole 1/2" in diameter. Below the top of the last's body there is a through-hole filled with a plaster-like substance. One side of the through-hole is completely blocked and the other side has a small hole in it. From the top the heel curve extends to the seat and has a metal staple sticking out vertically. The heel has a brass plate attached with brass screws which have been filed down. At the center of the plate is a hole where the wood of the last is visible. The seat sides are curved to form the waist before growing to the widest point at the last joints then tapering slightly to form the toe. Along the outside seat's edge are a numerous nail holes
