Description

Wood block cut in the form of a shoe. The last has an almond-shaped toe, from which the instep slopes upward and then plateaus at the top. Below the top the last has a through-hole filled with a plaster-like substance. This substance blocks one side of the through-hole completely, but the other side is clear. From the top the very pronounced heel curve extends to the seat. The seat sides are straight until the waist and then grows to the widest point at the last joints then tapering to form the toe. The seat has numerous nail holes down the center of the last and the edge of the toe.
