Description

Wood block cut in the form of a shoe. The last has a round toe with a complete toe cap, after which the last is cut at a right angle and continues for 15/32". The last then continues at a sloping angle toward the top. In this space a wedge would be secured and made flush with the rest of the last. The top of the last has several nail holes. Below the top is a through-hole 1/4" in diameter. From the top the heel curve extends 1 5/8" to the seat. On the heel of the seat is a half-circle piece of leather attached with metal nails. The seat's sides are curved to form the waist and then widen to the joint before tapering to the toe.
