Elder Frederick Evans is seated in the area of the North Family between the Garden House and the west end of the Stone Barn. The fence to the left in the photograph is one that surrounded a spruce tree planted sometime after the Barn was completed in 1860. The building in the upper right of the photograph is the Farmer's Tool House built in 1860.
