Steam-bent maple carrier band with two swallow tails secured by copper tacks. Steam-bent beech handle fastened to outside of carrier band with two trunk rivets on each side, peened over burrs on inside. Bottom header of 1/4" plywood held in place by steel wire brads. Varnished all over.
