Description

The view of the Church Family Dwelling (1875) appears to have been taken from the hill just north of the Church Family Office (1827). Buildings visible in the photograph include (right to left): a corner of the Meetinghouse (1824), the Ministry's Residence (1877), a glimpse of the Cow Barn ( ), the Gas House (1876), the Dwelling (1875), and glimpses of the Old Sick House ( ) and the Brethren's Workshop (1827). There are three Sisters and one Brother standing just behind the Meetinghouse picket fence. This view was apparently printed from the same negative as 1950.004015 but was enlarged or reduced in size a slightly different amount -- therefore, the Dwelling House is a bit smaller in 1850.004016 and a little more of the Meetinghouse is included on the right side of the photograph. They are not duplicate prints but were printed from the same negative.
