Inscribed on the label on the back of the stereograph is the title: "Young Cattle in the Barn-Yard, Looking Toward the Barn." The view is part of a series by J. C. Moulton, titled, "Shaker Village & Scenery, In Shirley, Middlesex County, Mass." The label also identifies the view as being taken in the Autumn of 1871.
