Object ID:

Community:
New York, Mount Lebanon
Description

This view shows the North Family buildings as they could be seen standing on the Lebanon Springs Road between the Church and North Families looking north. The photograph was made sometime after 1881 when the slate-covered gable roof was added to the Stone Barn. Buildings in the view from right to left include the Deacon's Workshop (1840?/1856) a glimpse of the Horsebarn and Deacons' Wagon Shed (1860), the Second Dwelling (1835), the Wood House/Wash House (1854/1880), a glimpse of the Stone Barn (1859), and the First or Upper Dwelling (1818). The card has the number "264" printed in the lower left-hand corner of the image as if it is part of a set.
