Eldress Sarah Collins Making a Braided Rug in Her Bedroom

Description
This photograph was taken in Eldress Sarah's bedroom in the Second Family Dwelling after she, being the last surviving South Family Shaker, moved there in 1935. In 1940 the Second Family was sold to Avery and Mary Chess Robinson. They tore the building down shortly after purchasing the property. Eldress Sarah moved to the North Family at that time.
